POSITION OVERVIEW:

AWarehouse Associatewithin the Shipping & Receiving areaat Horwitz provides an integral part of serving our clients with excellent customer service while incorporating our core values of Safe, Accountable, Professional, Motivated, Can Do, and Curious. This positionis responsibleforprocessinga large volumeof shipmentsandvarietyof tools and equipment. They also help handleoutgoing shipments to jobsites.TheWarehouse Associatecollaborateswithsales reps,project managers,vendors, fieldforemen,service techs, manufacturers, vendors, shipping companies,and the warehouse team to efficiently handle materials.

RESPONSIBLITIES/DUTIES:

These responsibilities generally describe the nature of the position and may not be all inclusive:

  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Daily forklift inspectionand ensure lift maintenance isup-to-date.
  • Responsible for non-fabricationreceiving atHorwitz.
    • Includes:identifyingjob, tagging shipment, andsafely storing items
    • Maintainreceiving dashboard with QR coding
    • Notifyingappropriate partiesof package/shipment received and sending QR code + information
  • Work with project managers and fieldforemento return equipment and materials to vendors.
  • Visible presence at Shipping & Receiving toassistwalk-ins from other team members or delivery drivers.
  • Ensureoutgoing deliveries are properly tagged, loaded, and orders are complete.
  • Assistswith building and grounds maintenance including:
    • Shovel snow from walks and entrances, spread salt andsandas necessary.
    • Assistwith trash removal from work areas to the dumpster.
    • Sweeping floors, removing cardboard, scrap metal, keeping workspace tidy
  • Be part of a fun and productive warehouse team.
  • Assistwith other warehouse tasks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/ABILITES:

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to independently organize, plan and prioritize work
Excellent verbal communication skills
Basic math skills
Intermediate computer skills
Strong attention to detail

Willingness to adapt and be flexible

Ability to recall and find information

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent required
2 years minimum experience

Warehouse or warehouse experience preferred, but notrequired

Prior experiencein shipping & receivingis a plus

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, or construction equipment preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently

Prolonged periods of standing
Frequent use of keyboard and computer mouse

Work both indoors and outdoors during all seasons
