What you’ll do

• Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs

• Build and carry out individualized treatment plans

• Provide therapy in line with physician orders and care plans

• Track and document resident progress

• Coach residents, families, and caregivers on goals and home exercises

• Work with nursing, therapy, and physicians as part of the care team

• Join care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings as needed

What you need

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

• CPR certification preferred

• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or assisted living preferred

Physical requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, and assist residents during therapy sessions

• Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
