Description:

Coordinate domestic and last-mile shipments from pickup through delivery, including scheduling pickups, deliveries, and appointments
Obtain and negotiate carrier rates; assign carriers and monitor capacity for timely service
Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, exceptions, and delivery issues
Communicate shipment status and ETAs to customers and internal teams
Maintain accurate shipment documentation, including BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations and accessorial charges
Verify shipment and delivery details before dispatch
Monitor detention, storage, and other accessorial charges to minimize added costs
Maintain accurate records and operational reports

Requirements:

2+ years in domestic logistics, freight forwarding, trucking, dispatch, or last-mile operations
Experience with carriers, warehouses, and rate/tracking processes
Strong communication, attention to detail, and follow-up skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel); logistics software experience a plus (CargoWise preferred)
