Job Description:A client of Insight Global is seeking a hands-onMechanicalEngineerto support plant operations, capital projects, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement efforts at its Cleveland facility. This individual will play a key role in driving projects from concept through completion while serving as a technical resource for the plant. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial manufacturing environments, strongmechanicalaptitude, and the ability to work independently to solve operational challenges. This position was created to provide additionalengineering support as the current team is operating with only twoengineers and requires help managing project workloads and plant initiatives.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree inMechanicalEngineering or relatedengineering discipline
- 2-4 years ofengineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge ofmechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
- Experience supporting plant operations, equipment reliability, and process improvements
- Experience managing projects from planning through execution
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment
Plusses:
- Experience with AutoCAD (3D modeling)
- Experience using CMMS systems, preferably iMaint
- Experience working with pumps, valves, motors, shafts, tanks, air handling units, and utility systems
- Local to Cleveland, OH area (within one hour)
- Previous capital project experience in a manufacturing facility
Day-to-Day:
- Lead and execute capital improvement projects
- Review vendor quotes and create purchase orders
- Coordinate contractors, schedules, and project logistics
- Support manufacturing operations through continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, including pumps, boilers, and production equipment
- Partner with maintenance teams to identify replacement parts and resolve technical challenges
- Serve as a technical resource for plant equipment and systems
- Manage multiple projects while supporting daily plant operations
