Shop AssistantNorthern Clearing is looking to hire a full-time mechanical Shop Assistant to work in our Ashland, WI Shop. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:As a shop assistant, your role will be to provide assistance and support to the shop. Assist mechanics, technicians, or shop foreman with daily tasksMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentSweep floors, empty trash, and clean work areas and equipmentStock and organize tools, parts, and suppliesReceive, Inspect, and store incoming inventoryDeliver tools, materials, and parts to technicians as neededOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipmentDispose of waste materials according to safety and environmental guidelinesAssist with loading and unloading trucks and equipmentBuild and set up spill kits for jobsitesClean, organize, and stock job trailers when they need to go out to jobsitesRun Mail dailyAdditional responsibilities will be determined by the Shop ManagerSKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:The successful candidate will be a hard worker, have a can-do attitude, personable, punctual, and safety minded. Valid Driver's License requiredAbility to lift 50-75 lbs.Good organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPAY AND BENEFITS: The company offers competitive pay with an excellent benefits package.
