Ready to turn complex GD&T into clean, reliable code? TekPro is seeking an NC Programming Engineer for a full-time, direct-hire role with a premier precision manufacturer in the Downers Grove area. This team is recognized for building intricate, high-quality parts for aerospace and defenseand they’re growing.

What you will own
  • Programming: Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for VMCs and lathes
  • Interpretation: Convert blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T into precise toolpaths
  • Process engineering: Choose tooling, determine speeds/feeds, and set strategies to maximize efficiency
  • Collaboration: Work closely with machinists, engineers, and production to refine processes
  • On-machine support: Troubleshoot issues on the floor and validate programs
  • Continuous improvement: Reduce cycle times and drive repeatable, high-quality outcomes
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a machining environment
  • Deep understanding of milling, turning, and multi-axis methods
  • Blueprint/GD&T fluency
  • Experience with CAM software: Mastercam, NX CAM, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM (or similar)
  • Hands-on machining experience strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
