Description:

A Quality Control Specialist (QC) is an entry-level position responsible for the maintenance of clinical trial eSource Documentation. This position is responsible for auditing eSource to ensure accuracy, timely reporting to Data Entry to keep on track with contact timelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), study protocols and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a full understanding of SOPs, study protocols, and lab manuals for multiple clinical trials.
  • Effectively organize study information for efficient recall of documentation needed.
  • Perform departmental task to remain in compliance with SOPs, study protocols, and lab manuals.
  • Audit 100% of eSource documentation to analyze, identify, query and resolve data issues/inconsistencies based on SOPs, study protocols and lab manuals.
  • Provide customer service, which includes effective communication with other staff and clients.
  • Assist with training new or less-experienced data entry staff on study-specific procedures and data entry guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Combination of relevant education & experience that provides sufficient knowledge & skills to ensure incumbent’s success in this role, such as:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience with data entry, data management, or Microsoft Office applications preferred (minimum of 6 months).
    • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to follow through on tasks and consistently meet expectations.
    • Job duties may include additional responsibilities as needed and are subject to change.
