About the Role

Our client, an established San Diego County construction contractor, is hiring a full-time Data Entry Clerk to support their accounting and office operations. This is a great fit for someone who genuinely enjoys working with numbers and data you'll spend your day cross-referencing job site records between timekeeping and accounting systems, catching discrepancies, and keeping things accurate. No prior AR/AP/payroll experience is required the right candidate can be trained.

What the Day-to-Day Looks Like

  • Focused, detail-driven data entry and cross-referencing repetitive by nature, so this suits someone who likes methodical, heads-down work rather than a lot of variety
  • You'll work from a cubicle/office space located on-site at an active construction/manufacturing yard not a traditional corporate office setting
  • The workplace culture is respectful and team-oriented, but this is a construction environment, and casual/direct language on the floor is part of the territory

Responsibilities

  • Enter and process data related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
  • Cross-reference job site time and photo data against entries in accounting software to ensure accuracy
  • Print and organize reports as needed
  • Provide general administrative and office support
  • Maintain organized, accurate records across systems

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, detail-oriented tasks
  • Comfortable learning new software systems
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
  • Prior data entry, AP/AR, or payroll experience helpful but not required will train
  • Nice to have: experience with ExakTime and/or Sage accounting software

Schedule

  • Full-time, in-office at San Marcos, CA location

Compensation

  • $45,000–$55,000/year, depending on experience
