Title: Assembly Operator
Location: Germantown, WI
Job Summary:
Operates machines and performs bench work to assemble products by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Set-up and operate rivet and shim presses or assembly fixtures
- adjust production equipment/machinery setup
- attach or mark identification onto products or containers
- clean equipment or machinery
- examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications
- Use Bench Equipment to rivet, stake, torque component parts to complete assemblies by hand
- install equipment or attachments on machinery or related structures
- load or unload material or work piece into machinery
- maintain or repair industrial or related equipment/machinery
- measure, weigh, or count products or materials
- monitor production machinery/equipment operation to detect problems
- operate hoist, winch, or hydraulic boom
- operate forklift
- operate metal or plastic fabricating equipment/machinery
- perform safety inspections in manufacturing or industrial setting
- plan or organize work
- read blueprints
- read production layouts
- read specifications
- read technical drawings
- read work order, instructions, formulas, or processing charts
- recognize characteristics of metals
- set up production equipment or machinery
- understand machine setup instructions
- use precision measuring tools or equipment
- Setup, process, inspect, and record product according to established procedures and within established time requirements.
- Accuracy of information and data for all production documents and entries into TCM.
- Follow all Safety procedures and policies.
- Maintains inventory and production records as required.
- Fills/Maintains stock bins as needed.
- Maintain necessary equipment, tools and supplies on hand.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of workstations and production shop floor area.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Vocational Education Classes or equivalent education or experience may qualify a person for this occupation.
- Machine Tool Technology/Machinist
- Sheet Metal Technology/Sheet working
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, machine operation, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
- Strong troubleshooting and quality inspection skills with the ability to identify and resolve production issues.
- Ability to monitor, operate, and adjust manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient production.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to accurately follow processes and work instructions.
- Effective communication and active listening skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
