Assembly Technician – Full-Time

CJ, Inc. is looking for a dependable, hard-working person to join our manufacturing team as a Full-Time Assembly Technician.

We are looking for someone who wants a steady, long-term job and takes pride in getting things done correctly. This isn't a position for someone looking to work for a few weeks until something else comes along.

You don't need years of assembly experience. If you're mechanically inclined, dependable, comfortable using tools, and willing to learn, we can teach you the rest.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a hands-on position assembling and preparing manufactured products for shipment. Depending on the product and workload, your responsibilities may include:

• Assembling manufactured steel products and equipment
• Installing hardware, hoses, fittings, cylinders, components, and other parts
• Using hand tools, power tools, impacts, drills, grinders, and other shop equipment
• Reading basic drawings, instructions, and measurements
• Checking completed assemblies for proper fit and operation
• Touching up and cleaning finished products when necessary
• Preparing finished products for shipment
• Packaging, wrapping, banding, and palletizing products
• Loading and unloading materials or finished products
• Keeping the assembly and shipping areas clean and organized
• Helping in other areas of the shop when needed

This is a physically demanding job. You should be comfortable working on your feet, using tools, moving parts, and staying productive throughout your shift.

We're a small manufacturing team, which means every person matters. When someone doesn't show up or doesn't do their part, the rest of the team has to pick up the slack.

Experience

Previous experience in any of the following is helpful:

• Manufacturing
• Mechanical assembly
• Equipment assembly
• Automotive or diesel repair
• Farm or construction equipment
• Welding or fabrication
• Maintenance
• General shop work

Experience is not required if you're dependable, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn.

Someone who works on cars, tractors, equipment, ATVs, snowmobiles, or other mechanical projects on their own time may also be a great fit even without formal manufacturing experience.
