Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewed and verified inpatient medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, dosing, drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications during overnight hours.
  • Prepared, dispensed, and monitored medications for hospitalized patients, including IV medications, sterile preparations, unit-dose medications, and controlled substances.
  • Provided overnight clinical pharmacy support to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, answering medication-related questions and making evidence-based recommendations.
  • Monitored patient profiles, laboratory values, renal/hepatic function, and medication therapy to identify potential safety concerns and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Responded to urgent medication needs, STAT orders, and after-hours requests while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies and pharmacy regulations.
  • Supported medication distribution operations, including automated dispensing cabinets, medication replenishment, controlled-substance management, and inventory monitoring.
  • Participated in antimicrobial stewardship, therapeutic monitoring, medication reconciliation, and other clinical pharmacy activities as required.
  • Maintained patient safety and continuity of pharmacy services throughout overnight shifts, collaborating with the on-call pharmacy team and other hospital departments.

Work Hours

  • Overnights 7on/7off Weds - Tues 8:30p-7a

Experience

  • Inpatient acute required, chemo a plus

Other Qualifications

  • Current and valid MI Pharmacist License
