Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A managerial role in home infusion pharmacy offers the opportunity to lead daily operations and clinical services focused on safe, home-based intravenous therapies. This position requires oversight of sterile compounding, management of pharmacy personnel, and adherence to stringent regulatory standards to ensure quality and profitability at the branch level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee pharmacy operations including sterile compounding, IV admixture preparation, dispensing, and inventory management.
- Lead recruitment, training, orientation, performance evaluations, and on-call scheduling of pharmacists and technicians.
- Maintain strict compliance with State Boards of Pharmacy laws and USP <797/800> compounding guidelines.
- Provide clinical oversight by collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Engage in branch budgeting, workflow optimization, and performance improvement projects.
- Take administrative on-call duties as needed; pharmacist team shares regular on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- 5-7 years of clinical and operations experience in home infusion or acute care pharmacy settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in IV admixture services and regulatory accreditation.
- Proven leadership in managing pharmacy teams, with a strong emphasis on thorough training and orientation for long-term success.
- Experience with CPR+/CareTend systems is highly preferred.
