Key Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license
  • Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to classroom environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with students, educators, and families
  • Commitment to supporting established speech therapy plans under the direction of a licensed SLP

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in providing direct and indirect therapy services to students
  • Implement intervention plans targeting communication goals, as outlined by the supervising SLP
  • Engage with students one-on-one or in small group settings in accordance with IEPs
  • Document student progress regularly and maintain accurate records
  • Support classroom teachers and staff with strategies and materials related to speech and language
  • Participate in school team meetings and collaborate on student care as needed
