Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure to practice as a School Social Worker
  • Previous experience providing school-based social work services preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEPs, 504 plans, and student support services
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff
  • Skilled in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Participate in development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ academic and emotional growth
  • Provide crisis intervention and collaborate on safety planning when necessary
  • Advocate for student access to external community resources and mental health services
  • Maintain confidential student records and thorough documentation in compliance with school and district guidelines
  • Lead or participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development related to student wellness
