Job Description
We are looking for an HRIS Coordinator to support human resources operations and employee programs in Rochester, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can balance HR systems coordination with day-to-day administrative support, helping ensure accurate records, smooth onboarding activities, and reliable benefits and leave processes. The role also contributes to HR-related initiatives and events while assisting with system-based analysis and implementation support as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update HRIS records to support accurate employee data, reporting, and routine human resources transactions.
• Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including orientation scheduling, documentation support, and follow-up on required employment records.
• Assist with benefits administration by helping employees navigate enrollment materials, processing updates, and resolving routine questions.
• Support leave administration tasks by tracking requests, maintaining related documentation, and partnering with internal stakeholders on status updates.
• Provide administrative assistance to the HR team through calendar coordination, record management, correspondence, and process follow-through.
• Contribute to HRIS-related analysis, testing, and implementation activities to help improve system functionality and data consistency.
• Help organize and support corporate events and employee-focused programs in partnership with the broader human resources team.
• Prepare and review HR reports, audits, and system information to identify discrepancies and ensure timely corrections.• Experience working with HRIS platforms and maintaining confidential employee information with a high level of accuracy.
• Background supporting leave administration and benefits-related processes within a human resources environment.
• Ability to coordinate orientation activities for permanent employees and manage multiple onboarding tasks effectively.
• Strong administrative support skills, including document organization, scheduling, and written communication.
• Comfort working with HR data, generating reports, and identifying inconsistencies within system records.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
• Proficiency with common office software and the ability to learn internal HR systems quickly.
