Associate Attorney

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivatedAttorneyto handlecriminal defense casesand alimited number of civil mattersin our Columbus, GA office. This is a full-time, in-office position ideal for someone who thrives in the courtroom, takes ownership of their caseload, and enjoys working in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony criminal cases from arraignment through resolution
• Handle occasional civil litigation matters as assigned
• Draft motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and colleagues in a professional and timely manner
• Attend and advocate in court regularly
• Participate in strategy sessions and firm meetings

What We’re Looking For:

• Georgia-licensed attorney in good standing
• 1–5 years of criminal law experience preferred (civil litigation experience a plus)
• Strong courtroom presence and legal writing skills
• Aself-starterwho takes initiative without needing constant oversight
• Ateam playerwho contributes to a collaborative culture
• Highly organized, reliable, and committed to client service
