Job Description
We are looking for an Operations Processor to support outsourced production activities and vendor coordination for a long-term contract opportunity in Canton, Ohio. This position focuses on keeping external processing work organized, on schedule, and aligned with operational needs by managing orders, timelines, and supplier communication. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, experience working with purchase orders and inventory-related processes, and the ability to monitor multiple transactions in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate external manufacturing and vendor service work by organizing schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring activities move forward according to operational timelines.
• Build and maintain effective supplier relationships to support on-time turnaround, clear communication, and dependable service delivery.
• Review vendor performance by tracking lead times, available capacity, and commitment to required delivery dates, and raise concerns when issues may affect output.
• Prepare, issue, and maintain purchase orders for outsourced services, confirming that pricing, quantities, due dates, and service details are accurate.
• Monitor open orders from release through completion, updating records regularly and closing purchase orders promptly once work has been finalized.
• Adjust order details and scheduling plans as business needs change, coordinating updates with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee a large volume of outsourced orders and work-in-process activity, ensuring each transaction is documented and progressing appropriately.
• Track materials from shipment to outside vendors through processing and return, maintaining accurate status updates, expected completion dates, and shipping information.• At least 3 years of experience in operations, manufacturing support, supply chain coordination, or a related processing role.
• Practical experience working with purchase orders, vendor invoicing, and outsourced service coordination.
• Knowledge of logistics, distribution, shipping activity, inventory tracking, and backorder management.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and resolve order or account-related issues in a timely and thorough manner.
• Strong scheduling and job coordination skills with the ability to prioritize multiple open activities at once.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SAP for tracking data, maintaining records, and supporting operational reporting.
• Familiarity with production data, inventory analysis, and manufacturing workflows.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when handling order status, due dates, quantities, and shipment records.
