Warehouse Receiving Manager
Location: Chicago IL (Southwest side - Brighton Park area)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Pay: $25.00/hour
Position Type: Temporary to hire
LHH is seeking a reliable and attentive Receiving Manager for our client in Chicago. This is a temporary to hire position, focused on supporting pre-quality assurance initiatives. There is no direct supervision in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate incoming deliveries, ensuring trucks are assigned specific receiving times and avoiding scheduling conflicts.
- Manage daily receiving activities for approximately 8-10 truckloads per day.
- Verify Bills of Lading (BOLs) against received products, ensuring quantities, labels, and case counts are accurate.
- Inspect incoming shipments for shortages, overages, or damaged goods.
- Document and report discrepancies, including taking photos of damaged product and notifying management.
- Maintain receiving schedules and update the receiving board throughout the day.
- Work closely with warehouse staff and union personnel responsible for unloading shipments.
- Ensure all receiving records are accurate and organized.
Qualifications:
- Prior warehouse receiving, inventory control, or logistics experience required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
- Experience reviewing shipping documents, Bills of Lading, and inventory records.
- Highly organized with strong scheduling and coordination skills.
- Dependable, attentive, and seeking a long-term opportunity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, particularly during busy morning hours.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
