Job Overview
Pay: $32.00- $45.00 (1st & 2nd Shift)
We are seeking an experienced CNC Department Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our Laser and Press Brake departments. This role leads a high-production CNC environment focused on the precision manufacturing of armor plate components. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise operators running CNC laser cutting and hydraulic press brake equipment
- Direct workflow from initial laser cutting through final precision bending of armor components
- Review blueprints and CAD drawings to ensure production accuracy
- Select proper tooling and dies for heavy-gauge steel fabrication
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs for CNC machinery
- Monitor quality control using precision measuring tools to verify tolerances
- Enforce shop safety standards and ensure OSHA compliance
- Coordinate material handling processes using cranes and forklifts
Requirements
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a CNC machine shop or heavy metal fabrication environment
- Strong expertise in CNC programming and operation, preferably with Trumpf equipment
- Advanced knowledge of heavy-gauge steel behavior, bend allowances, and fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints
- Experience with high-precision measurement tools and quality control standards
- Background in safely moving heavy materials using overhead cranes and forklifts
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
