Role&Responsibilities:

  • ParticipatesinhandoffmeetingstotheProjectManagementteaminaclear,preciseandorganizedmanner
  • Specificallyfollowandadheretoestimatingprocess
  • Reviewssubcontractorproposalforaccuracybeforesubmitting–reviewsscopeindetail,readallsubcontractorexclusionsandhasconfirmedthattheexcludeditemsarenotneededorarecoveredelsewhere
  • Prepareforscopemeetings–scopesheetscompleted,takeoffscompleted,listofconfirmedbiddingsubs,preparedtocoordinatetradeswithotherteammembers.
  • Provideaccuratequantitysurveys
  • Efficientlyusetake-offsoftware
  • Onbiddate,ensurethatscopesheetsarecorrectlyfilledoutwithan“applestoapples”totalforeachsubatthebottomofthesheet,andareclear,concise,andaccurate
  • Thoroughlyreviewprojectspecificationsduringbidperiod
  • Solicitappropriatequantityofsubcontractorsinatimelymannerandconfirmstheirintenttobid
  • Followupbyphonewithallbiddingsubcontractorspriortobidday
  • Contactsuppliersandotherthirdpartiestofindqualifiedsubcontractorsforspecificprojects
  • Completeappropriatereferencechecksonnewsubcontractors
  • Distributeaddendumstimelyandtoallresponsibleparties

Skills&Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’sdegreefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversityrequired
  • 2-3estimatingexperiencewithageneralcontractor,includingestimatingforindustrial/retail/commercialconstruction,ispreferred
  • KnowledgeofMicrosoftOfficeproductssuchasWord,Excel,&Outlook

Compensation:

Inadditiontoofferingcompetitivebasepay,Catamountemployeesareeligibleforadditionalincentivesformerit/performance,projectincentives,newhirereferrals,andbusinessdevelopmentcommissions.
