First Shift Production Supervisor

Location: Meriden, CT
Schedule: First Shift

A manufacturing company in Meriden, CT is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead Machine Operators and Material Handlers on the first shift. This position will coordinate daily production activities, support and develop employees, resolve operational issues, and help the team achieve its safety, quality, and production goals.

What You'll Do

• Lead and coordinate Machine Operators and Material Handlers
• Assign daily work to meet production schedules
• Monitor workflow, equipment utilization, quality, and production output
• Train, coach, and provide feedback to production employees
• Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment
• Address production and equipment issues to minimize downtime
• Review production records and communicate updates to management
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, safety practices, and quality standards
• Ability to organize work, manage priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and production-reporting skills

Preferred: Associate degree, technical certification, or experience in wire and cable manufacturing.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, push, and pull. The position requires the ability to lift at least 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

This position involves working around industrial machinery and requires the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
