A customer rush order just came in, a coater needs a quick changeover, and a new operator is shadowing your best slitter lead. You thrive herebalancing people, process, and product to deliver safe, high-quality results on time.
Your Day, At a Glance
- Set the pace: Build and adjust production schedules to match demand, balance resources, and keep commitments.
- Optimize the run: Monitor throughput on laminators, coaters, slitters, and sheeters; remove roadblocks and fine-tune changeovers.
- Champion quality: Partner closely with QA to uphold strict standards, investigate variances, and prevent recurrence.
- Develop people: Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse production team; cultivate a safe, engaged, and accountable culture.
- Work cross-functionally: Coordinate with logistics and procurement to ensure materials, inventory, and shipments are synchronized.
- Drive improvement: Analyze production data to target waste, boost OEE, and embed best practices.
- Protect the team: Enforce safety protocols and company policies without compromise.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related) or equivalent hands-on manufacturing leadership experience.
- Proven success as a Production Manager or similar role in a factory environment.
- Deep knowledge of production methods and quality control systems.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with clear, confident communication (bilingual Spanish/English a plus and used on the floor).
- Comfort with data analysis and production management software.
- Resourceful problem-solver with keen attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-moving setting.
