PO Design Creation is hiring an experienced Millworker to join our fabrication shop in South Hackensack, NJ. In this role, you'll fabricate custom millwork and cabinetry to spec, with occasional on-site installation work. We're looking for someone who knows their way around shop machinery and takes pride in precise, high-quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom millwork and cabinetry from shop drawings and blueprints
- Operate and safely maintain shop machinery (table saws, panel saws, edgebanders, routers, and similar equipment)
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wood and wood-composite materials to precise specifications
- Assist with occasional on-site installation of finished millwork
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Work with the shop team to meet production deadlines
- Maintain log of material and supplies on the shop to ensure continuous work flow
- Unload deliveries of supplies and material
Requirements
- Proven experience fabricating millwork or cabinetry in a shop environment
- Solid working knowledge of shop machinery and hand tools
- Ability to read and work from shop drawings/blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to lift and move materials, and to travel occasionally to job sites for installation
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
