Commissary Delivery Driver
Position Summary
PILF Restaurant Group is looking for a reliable and hardworking Commissary Delivery Driver to help keep our restaurants stocked and ready to sling some serious pizza.
This position is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering fresh pizza dough, mozzarella, and other commissary products to our restaurant locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This is a physically active position that requires safely maneuvering heavy rolling racks during loading, unloading, and deliveries.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely deliver pizza dough, mozzarella, and other commissary products to restaurant locations throughout DFW
- Load and unload rolling racks of product from the delivery vehicle using proper equipment and safe handling techniques
- Safely push, pull, steer, and maneuver loaded rolling racks weighing approximately 150 to 400 pounds
- Move loaded racks up and down the delivery truck and liftgate, through parking lots, across sidewalks and uneven surfaces, and up or down inclines
- Verify all products and quantities before leaving the commissary and upon delivery
- Follow established delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Properly handle and transport refrigerated food products to maintain quality and food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle
- Complete required delivery logs, checklists, and documentation
- Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and immediately report maintenance or safety concerns
- Communicate with the Commissary Manager regarding delivery issues, shortages, delays, or restaurant needs
- Assist with organizing, stocking, loading, and other commissary duties as needed
- Follow all company safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Valid driver's license required
- Clean driving record required
- Must be able to safely operate a company delivery vehicle
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to follow an established delivery schedule
- Ability to regularly push, pull, roll, steer, and control loaded racks weighing approximately 150 to 400 pounds using appropriate equipment
- Must be physically capable of maneuvering loaded racks on and off the truck, through parking lots, over sidewalks and thresholds, across uneven surfaces, and on inclines
- Ability to repeatedly bend, reach, push, pull, stand, and walk throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in refrigerated and commissary environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Previous delivery, warehouse, restaurant, or food distribution experience preferred but not required
Schedule
Schedule may include early mornings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on commissary and restaurant delivery needs.
What We're Looking For
We need someone our restaurants can count on. Our dough and mozzarella are pretty important around here, so getting the right products to the right restaurants safely and on time is a big deal. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable being on their feet, moving heavy rolling racks, working outdoors during deliveries, and navigating the not-always-flat terrain that comes with restaurant deliveries throughout DFW.
