Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Supervisor to oversee the administrative and clinical operations of the IDD program. The supervisor will provide leadership to staff, support clients and families, manage crisis situations, ensure compliance with program requirements, and promote high-quality, person-centered services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and standard supervision to program staff.
- Manage and respond appropriately to client and staff crisis situations.
- Train staff on electronic medical records and provide ongoing support.
- Review treatment records and reports and provide guidance on documentation.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and maintain meeting records.
- Maintain at least monthly supervision with staff.
- Ensure compliance with Habilitation Waiver, Children's Waiver, and other funding requirements.
- Monitor staff credentials and required training hours.
- Review program data related to waivers, productivity, and service delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and Total Quality Management activities.
- Assess client and community needs and coordinate appropriate services.
- Monitor psychiatric, psychological, and case management services.
- Collaborate with the Program Director, Finance, and other departments to meet program and budget requirements.
- Support Person-Centered Planning practices.
- Ensure records and service activities meet applicable accreditation and quality standards.
- Complete required reports, documentation, referrals, and other paperwork.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and trainings and communicate relevant information to leadership and staff.
- Complete 24 hours of program/position-specific training annually.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
- Must hold a full Michigan LMSW, LLP, or LPC license at the time of consideration.
- Minimum 1 year of experience evaluating and treating children and adolescents.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and relevant treatment modalities.
- Must meet requirements for Children's Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) within 120 days of hire.
- Valid driver's license and favorable driving record.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain organized, flexible, creative, and non-judgmental.
- Ability to appropriately manage crisis situations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Waiver programs.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Experience working with electronic medical records.
- Experience in behavioral health or specialized psychiatric services.
Compensation & Benefits
