Senior Accountant – Chicago (3 days in office)

Our client, an extremely reputable asset management firm based in Chicago, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Role:

This position partners closely with leadership and plays a key role in financial reporting and process improvement initiatives. You’ll be involved in preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting audits, and helping streamline reporting processes as the firm continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports
• Partner with auditors and support the audit process
• Assist with GAAP reporting and technical accounting matters
• Help improve and streamline reporting processes and controls
• Collaborate across teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting
• Support ad hoc projects and ongoing process enhancements

What They’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or financial services preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
