Senior Security Systems Programmer / Engineer

Position Summary

Clarity ITS is seeking an experienced Senior Security Systems Programmer / Engineer to join our growing Security Integration team.

We are looking for a highly skilled security systems professional with strong experience programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting enterprise access control and video surveillance systems. While Genetec experience and certification is preferred, we will also consider candidates with strong experience with other leading platforms such as Avigilon, LenelS2, ICT, Axis, and other enterprise security systems.

The ideal candidate understands security systems from the field device through the network, server, software, and end-user interface. This person should be comfortable troubleshooting complex access control and video surveillance issues and working with field technicians, project managers, engineers, and customers.

The successful candidate may work from our Braselton, Hapeville, or Canton, Georgia office depending on their location. During onboarding, you'll work closely with our Engineering, Project Management, and Operations teams to learn Clarity ITS standards and project workflows.

This position requires travel to customer sites throughout the United States for system programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, customer training, service, and advanced technical support.

Minimum Qualifications

· Strong hands-on experience programming and commissioning enterprise security systems

· Experience with enterprise access control systems

· Experience with enterprise video surveillance / VMS platforms

· Strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals

· Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

· Ability to troubleshoot systems across hardware, software, networking, servers, and field devices

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

· Ability and willingness to travel throughout the United States

· Genetec certification is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong experience on other enterprise access control and video platforms are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

· Program, configure, and commission enterprise access control systems

· Program and configure enterprise video surveillance / VMS systems

· Troubleshoot access control panels, readers, locks, request-to-exit devices, and related hardware

· Configure and troubleshoot IP cameras, recording servers, workstations, and network communications

· Integrate access control and video surveillance systems

· Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, server, and communication issues

· Perform system upgrades, migrations, expansions, and system modifications

· Provide remote and onsite technical support

· Assist field technicians with advanced programming and troubleshooting

· Work closely with Project Managers and Engineering throughout project execution

· Commission newly installed security systems

· Provide customer training and system orientation

· Maintain accurate programming documentation and project records

· Travel throughout the United States for project deployments, commissioning, service calls, and customer support
