Precise Personnel Staffing is hiring an experienced Yard Goat / Yard Hostler Driver for a logistics and warehouse company in Compton, CA.
Position Details
- Pay: $20.00–$21.00 per hour to start, depending on experience
- Schedule: 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
- Location: Compton, CA
- Language: Spanish is REQUIERED.
Requirements
- Current certification to operate a Sit-Down Forklift
- 1–2 years of experience as a Yard Hostler / Yard Goat Driver preferred
- Valid Class A Driver’s License preferred
- Ability to safely operate a Yard Goat and move trailers around the yard
- speak spanish
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the Yard Goat to move trailers and containers throughout the yard
- Position trailers at loading and unloading doors according to the warehouse schedule
- Coordinate trailer movements with the Shipping Office and warehouse supervisors
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Verify trailer and container numbers before moving equipment
- Keep the trailer yard organized to maintain efficiency and safety
- Immediately report equipment damage, unsafe conditions, or maintenance needs
- Follow all yard safety procedures, speed limits, and company policies
- Assist with warehouse operations when trailer movement is limited, as needed
