Inside Sales & Warehouse Associate
KJ Electric is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Inside Sales and Warehouse Associate to join our team. This full time position combines customer service and inside sales responsibilities with hands-on counter and warehouse support.
Experience with electric motors, drives, controls, power transmission products, or industrial distribution is preferred but not required. We provide training to help the right candidate develop strong product knowledge and advance within the company.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers by phone, email, and at the counter with product inquiries, pricing, availability, and order status
- Prepare quotes, enter sales orders, and follow customer requests through completion
- Develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Learn KJ Electric’s products and services to recommend appropriate solutions
- Receive, inspect, label, organize, and stock incoming materials
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment or pickup
- Coordinate shipments using UPS, FedEx, ground, and LTL carriers
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation in the company’s ERP/CRM system
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries
- Make local customer deliveries and pickups when needed
- Work closely with sales, purchasing, shipping, and other departments
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, warehousing, industrial distribution, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of electric motors, drives, controls, or power transmission products is helpful
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and learning ERP/CRM software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and continually build product knowledge
- Ability to safely lift and move warehouse materials
- Valid New York State driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Forklift and material-handling experience is helpful
