Senior Project Manager

As Senior Project Manager you will own delivery of complex work, keep owners and field crews aligned, and develop the next generation of leaders. Performance Objectives
- Deliver assigned projects on schedule and within budget: invoice 100% of completed work on time, report real-time cost vs. budget, and forecast accurately.
- Drive submittals, documentation, and current plans/specs so the field always works from the latest information and nothing falls through the cracks.
- Build collaborative relationships with customers, resident engineers, foremen, suppliers, and subcontractors; resolve issues with urgency and integrity.
- Own baseline through daily schedules, track labor units, measure progress, and implement corrective action before delays compound.
- Complete Job Hazard Analyses before pre-construction, keep sites safe and legal to excavate, and model JBCC’s non-negotiable safety standard.
- Mentor Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and PM candidates; actively identify and develop talent so the bench grows stronger.
Environment & Resources
Based in Westmont (primarily office with regular field presence). You report to a Senior PM or Program Manager and may supervise APMs, PEs, subcontractors, and suppliers. You will use P6, HCSS, Excel, and our new ERP, supported by full-time safety directors and QAQC standards. Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years managing electrical infrastructure, utility, or general contracting work (ComEd or comparable owner experience strongly preferred).
- Ability to read prints, produce accurate take-offs, source labor units, and keep the team on the latest documents.
- Proven financial control: real-time cost tracking, forecasting, and on-time invoicing.
- Proficiency with MS Office, P6, and HCSS; comfort leading multiple concurrent projects.
- Track record of collaborative owner/field relationships and mentoring junior project staff.
