Job Description: Manufacturing Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our growing precision machining manufacturing team. This role involves supporting PPAPs, APQP activities, addressing customer quality concerns, conducting inspections, performing audits, and assisting with new product launches. The position is open due to an upcoming retirement, offering the unique opportunity to learn from a seasoned Quality Engineer while contributing to our expansion in the aerospace, defense, and agricultural markets.

Responsibilities

  • Support Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation and activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Conduct first article inspections and dimensional reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering.
  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment.
  • Address and resolve customer quality concerns.
  • Support new product launches and perform quality audits.
  • Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities.
  • Maintain quality documentation and ensure compliance with quality management systems.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Experience with PPAP activities and quality documentation.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF quality management systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Exposure to APQP processes and control plans.
  • Experience in the aerospace, defense, or automotive industries.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and CAPA processes.
  • Opportunity for company-funded CMM training.
Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Marshall, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $84000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

PTO, 401k match, insurance, bonus eligibility, etc.
