Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Description

The Financial Analyst provides financial modeling, analysis, and decision support to drive growth and improve efficiency across the business. This role partners closely with business unit leaders to evaluate new opportunities, support strategic decisions, and enhance profitability. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality financial insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed financial projection models to evaluate new business opportunities, potential acquisitions, new products, and growth initiatives.
  • Assist in the due diligence process for acquisitions and new services by preparing and analyzing comprehensive financial data.
  • Create and maintain detailed financial forecasts that incorporate key financial and operational metrics.
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports and reporting packages by gathering, consolidating, and analyzing information related to current performance.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of changes in key variables on revenue, expenses, and profitability, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to identify and implement new strategies to improve net profitability and develop roadmaps for sustained financial performance.
  • Provide decision support to business unit leaders through financial and operational ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Work with large data sets to develop scalable financial reporting solutions that support ongoing business needs.
  • Communicate and summarize key financial findings and insights clearly and effectively to company executives and stakeholders.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects by defining financial requirements, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of analysis.
  • Support financial planning and analysis activities, including forecasting, variance analysis, and financial statement analysis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the finance function and broader business objectives.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance
  • Strong foundation in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Experience in financial modeling for business forecasting, variance analysis, and new business valuation.
  • Experience in financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, and financial statement analysis.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Experience working with large data sets to build scalable financial reporting solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL or similar tools for data extraction and analysis.
  • Strong functional expertise in Finance and familiarity with corporate finance concepts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Exposure to SQL-based tools and environments; experience with TM1 is a plus.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience with VBA or other automation tools to enhance reporting and analysis processes.
  • Experience with Cognos or similar enterprise reporting tools.
  • Supervisory skills or experience guiding junior team members or cross-functional partners.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $40.87/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
