AiSYS Consulting is a locally owned professional audiovisual integration company serving schools, municipalities and businesses throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

We are a small, experienced team that believes relationships matter, customer service comes first and learning never stops.

Every member of our current team entered the audiovisual industry with little or no professional AV experience. Through hands-on experience, customer interaction, technical training, research and working alongside other team members, some have become Certified Technical Specialist, CTS AV professionals from AVIXA.

We believe people develop professionally by being given the opportunity to participate, learn, take on responsibility and discover their strengths.

Technical skills can be taught. Character, integrity, curiosity, accountability and a genuine desire to help customers are much harder to develop.

• Have basic familiarity with common hand tools and be comfortable learning to safely use power tools used in audiovisual installation.

Previous experience in audiovisual systems, IT, networking, teaching, education or a customer-service-focused position is helpful, but professional AV experience is not required for the right candidate.

What You Will Learn and Do

This is a hands-on position. Learning at AiSYS happens through participation You will work alongside experienced AiSYS team members and learn how an audiovisual project developsfrom the initial customer conversation and understanding what they are trying to accomplish through system design, installation, testing and project completion.

You will participate in:

• Professional audiovisual installations, including displays, projection, audio, cameras, control systems and other AV technologies.
• Equipment preparation, system assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
• Customer meetings, site visits and project walkthroughs.
• Listening to customers, gathering information and understanding what they are trying to accomplish.
• System commissioning and customer service.
• AV system design and equipment selection.
• Manufacturer training and industry certifications.
• System programming and technical troubleshooting.
• Estimating, quotations and project documentation.
• Project coordination and communication with customers and manufacturers.

Some people develop stronger technical skills. Some excel in customer relationships. Others may discover strengths in installation, troubleshooting, programming, system design, or project management.

We expect our team members to use available resourcesincluding manufacturer documentation, technical resources, online information and AIto research and better understand problems and possible solutions.

These resources are tools, not substitutes for judgment.

We value someone who is willing to ask questions, research possible solutions, share their thought process and verify technical information before relying on it.

Physical Requirements

Professional AV integration is a physical, hands-on occupation. Candidates must be able to:

• Lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Assist with lifting, positioning and installing interactive flat panels, displays and other AV equipment.
• Work safely and comfortably from ladders and at elevated working heights when required.
• Pull and route cable.
• Use common hand and power tools.
• Perform equipment mounting, assembly and other physical installation activities.
• Safely work with other team members when equipment requires two or more people to lift or position.
