Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to join our manufacturing team in Milwaukee. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, coordinating materials and resources, and working closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure production goals are met.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of production planning, manufacturing, supply chain, or related experience, along with hands-on experience using an ERP system. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage changing priorities are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, material availability, and production capacity.
  • Monitor production progress and make schedule adjustments as needed to meet delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure materials and components are available when needed.
  • Work closely with Production, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve scheduling and material issues.
  • Enter and maintain production planning information, work orders, and inventory data within the company’s ERP system.
  • Review inventory levels and production requirements to identify potential shortages or excess inventory.
  • Monitor production capacity and identify potential scheduling constraints.
  • Help prioritize work orders based on customer requirements and production needs.
  • Track and communicate changes to production schedules.
  • Analyze production and inventory data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate planning records and documentation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning, inventory, and scheduling.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in production planning, manufacturing, supply chain, materials planning, or a related field.
  • Experience working with an ERP system is required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
