Job Title: Machine Operator 1
Location:Canaan, CT 06018 (Route 7 & Grace Way)
Duration:12-Month Contract
Pay:$26/hr + 10% Shift Differential | W2
Shift:C Crew – 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.Training on day shift required for approximately 3 monthsbefore transitioning to nights. Alternating schedule.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Machine Operator to perform routine production and packaging operations in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform filling, utility, packing, packaging, assembly, labeling, and inspection activities.
- Operate according to standard operating procedures and production requirements.
- Maintain accurate production records and logs in compliance with FDA, GMP, and ISO standards.
- Perform basic math and interpret written specifications and instructions in English.
- Work effectively as part of a team and rotate between tasks as needed.
- Follow safety, quality, and attendance requirements.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required; prior industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic knowledge of production processes and procedures.
- Ability to work flexible/extended hours and maintain reliable attendance.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
- Willingness to cross-train and perform different production responsibilities.
