Controller

We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations for a manufacturing and distribution organization based in Aventura, Florida. This position oversees full-cycle accounting across multiple entities, provides financial leadership, and supports informed business decisions through accurate reporting and analysis. The role is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to work with international stakeholders in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Direct end-to-end accounting activities for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial records, reconciliations, and reporting.

• Lead the month-end close process and deliver consolidated financial statements that reflect overall business performance.

• Supervise a team of four direct reports, providing guidance, accountability, and development support across daily financial operations.

• Monitor budgeting activities, evaluate financial results against plans, and present actionable analysis to leadership.

• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting processes, including work-in-progress tracking and cost control within production environments.

• Partner with operational teams to strengthen financial oversight across manufacturing, contract manufacturing, and distribution functions.

• Manage financial supervision for domestic and international business activity while coordinating effectively with virtual team members and stakeholders abroad.

• Support periodic international travel requirements to maintain alignment with global operations and finance priorities.

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibility within a Controller or similar role.
• Demonstrated background in manufacturing and distribution environments with strong knowledge of cost accounting principles.
• Experience managing full-cycle accounting for multiple entities and producing consolidated financial statements.
• Strong command of month-end close, financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on expertise with manufacturing cost accounting, including work-in-progress valuation and related controls.
• Proven ability to lead and develop direct reports while maintaining high standards for accuracy and timeliness.
• Comfortable working onsite in Aventura, Florida and collaborating with international teams in a virtual setting.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally for approximately one week each month.
