Lead the Team. Drive the Business. Elevate Dog Wellness.

THIS IS A LEADERSHIP ROLE NOT A JOB TO JUST "MANAGE THE SHIFT."

We're looking for a driven, hands-on leader who knows how to build a team, drive sales, create culture, and deliver measurable results.

The Scenter Manager owns the day-to-day performance of the Scenter and plays a critical role in growing the business. You will lead people, drive membership sales, manage key performance indicators, develop employees, create an exceptional customer experience, and make sure the operation runs at a high level every day.

If you're the kind of leader who sees a problem and takes ownership of fixing it, we want to meet you.

WHY JOIN SCENTHOUND?

  • Clear career growth: Direct path to Regional or Area Management and additional opportunities.
  • Competitive salary + monthly performance bonuses
  • Merit-based pay increases
  • Paid vacation
  • Complimentary Scenthound service membership
  • The opportunity to build and lead a team while growing a real business.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

SALES & BUSINESS PERFORMANCE

You are not simply responsible for keeping the Scenter running. You are responsible for helping it grow.

  • Drive membership sales through education around dog wellness and preventative care.
  • Lead the team to achieve membership, revenue, retention, and customer-experience goals.
  • Monitor and improve critical KPIs including Labor Efficiency Ratio, Average Ticket Price, Rebook Ratio, and membership performance.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve efficiency, and strengthen customer retention.
  • Coach employees to become better salespeople and better service providers.

LEADERSHIP & CULTURE

  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Set clear expectations and hold yourself and others accountable.
  • Create a culture built around teamwork, communication, performance, and Scenthound values.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Recognize great performance and address performance issues quickly and directly.
  • Lead from the front and work alongside your team when the business requires it.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Own the day-to-day operation of the Scenter.
  • Keep the team organized, productive, and on schedule.
  • Identify where help is needed and jump in to keep the Scenter moving.
  • Maintain consistent quality standards through hands-on participation, employee audits, and training.
  • Ensure dogs and team members are safe at all times.
  • Maintain Scenthound sanitation, cleaning, and operational standards.
  • Communicate priorities and information from upper management clearly and accurately.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

  • Build strong relationships with dog parents and create loyal customers.
  • Educate clients about the importance of ongoing dog wellness.
  • Manage customer expectations and resolve concerns professionally.
  • Turn challenging customer situations into opportunities to build trust and loyalty.

THE LEADER WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who wants to leadnot just supervise.

The ideal candidate is:

  • A proven people leader with management experience.
  • Comfortable being accountable for sales and measurable business results.
  • A confident communicator who can motivate a team and have difficult conversations when necessary.
  • Hands-on, energetic, and willing to work hard.
  • An independent problem solver who doesn't wait for someone else to fix things.
  • Organized, disciplined, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about developing people and creating a great team culture.
  • Comfortable using technology and business systems.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to high standards.
  • Honest, compassionate, and willing to hold themselves and others accountable.
  • A dog lover who genuinely cares about dog wellness and safety.

EXPERIENCE THAT TRANSFERS WELL

We value leadership ability and results more than having worked in the dog industry.

Strong candidates may come from:

Retail • Restaurant/Hospitality • Fitness & Wellness • Franchising • Automotive Service • Medical/Wellness • Specialty Retail • High-Volume Customer Service • Other People-Focused Businesses

Dog-industry experience is a plus, but it is not required.

What matters most is that you know how to lead people, drive results, solve problems, and create an environment where a team can succeed.

THIS MAY NOT BE THE JOB FOR YOU IF...

You're looking for a low-pressure job, a purely administrative position, or a role where you simply follow a checklist.

We need someone who takes ownership.

Someone who sees an underperforming employee and coaches them.

Someone who sees a sales opportunity and goes after it.

Someone who sees a problem and solves it.

Someone who can walk into a busy Scenter, rally the team, and get things done.

We are looking for a leader who wants to build something.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

A successful Scenter Manager will:

Build a great team.
Grow membership.
Improve customer retention.
Hit the numbers.
Develop future leaders.
Maintain exceptional service and safety standards.
And make the Scenter better every day.

If you're ready to lead, build, grow, and be accountable for results, we want to hear from you.
