Job Title:Machine Operator
Location:Newark NJ 07112
Work Schedule:Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
Pay Rate:USD28.19 per hour
Contract Type:Contingent

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Experience operating a walk-behind forklift.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use calipers.
  • Ability to operate pneumatic nail/staple guns and basic tools.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
  • Reliable team player with good listening, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend occasionally, and lift 5–20 pounds occasionally.
  • Must provide steel-toed boots. Additional task-specific PPE will be provided onsite.
Responsibilities
  • Move paper rolls from stands to production lines using a walk-behind forklift.
  • Keep production lines continuously supplied with paper.
  • Tag rolls together and add material to maintain the required paper thickness.
  • Adjust glue application and machine settings as needed.
  • Monitor product quality and report machine issues during the shift.
  • Use tools to separate rolls when necessary and operate a pneumatic nail/staple gun.
  • Take scrap materials to the balers.
  • Complete quality and production reports each shift.
  • Assist the stacker with keeping pallets organized and up to date.
  • Follow all PPE requirements, safety regulations, and company procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
