Job Summary
We are seeking an Electronics Process Engineer to join our team! As an SMT Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving surface-mount technology processes used in printed circuit board assembly. This role supports new-product introduction, SMT equipment programming, solder-paste printing, component placement, reflow profiling, and inspection processes. The engineer troubleshoots manufacturing defects, performs root-cause analysis, develops corrective actions, and works closely with production and quality teams to improve product quality, first-pass yield, efficiency, and equipment uptime. The position also creates process documentation, trains production personnel, and ensures compliance with applicable IPC standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Control and improve the manufacturing process for circuit board assembly
  • Program and support SMT Equipment (AOI, Automatic Pick & Place, Stencil Printer etc...)
  • Work closely with the team of engineers to hone processes
  • Keep detailed records of all findings, changes, and modifications
  • Train operators, maintain process documentation
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on SMT/PCBA manufacturing experience
  • Experience in an electronics contract manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Ability to program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot SMT pick-and-place equipment
  • Experience with solder paste printing, SPI, reflow ovens, AOI, and X-ray inspection
  • Strong knowledge of SMT components, packages, polarity, feeder setup, and nozzle selection
  • Ability to develop and optimize reflow profiles
