The General Laborer uses hand and power tools to support production and packaging activities, including installing brackets, removing excess adhesive, polishing edges, and preparing finished products for shipment. This role involves consistent physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and requires attention to detail, safe tool handling, and the ability to work efficiently in a warehouse and assembly environment.
ResponsibilitiesEmployees join a stable organization where internal mobility is encouraged and long-term careers are common. All roles are posted internally before being shared externally, giving current employees early access to new opportunities, and team members can explore their next steps through regular one-on-one conversations. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes a structured 401(k) match, profit sharing, generous paid time off that grows with tenure, and 10 paid holidays plus a paid volunteer day each year. Employees benefit from consistent annual reviews with performance-based raises, as well as a pay increase after the first six months. The culture emphasizes recognition, development, and flexibility, including options such as additional PTO or sign-on bonuses when appropriate, and weekly catered lunches that foster a supportive, close-knit atmosphere.
Work EnvironmentThis role operates on a first shift schedule, typically from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with small amounts of overtime as needed, generally limited in duration. The environment is a warehouse and assembly setting where hand and power tools are used regularly, and where employees perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and pallet wrapping. The team is close knit, and many employees have long tenure, often 10 to 12 years or more, contributing to a stable and collaborative workplace. Breaks typically include two 15-minute periods, and there is some flexibility for employees who choose to adjust their break usage to leave earlier when appropriate. The setting emphasizes safety, teamwork, and consistent production, with regular interaction among team members and supervisors.
