Job Description

The Warehouse Associate / Shipping & Receiving Associate ensures that products are shipped and received accurately, on time, and in accordance with customer specifications. This role supports shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities and operates both independently and under the guidance of the Inventory and Logistics Manager. The position plays a key role in maintaining smooth warehouse and production operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create pick lists for all kits required for customer shipments.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation and physically ship completed return merchandise authorizations (RMAs).
  • Prepare all necessary documentation and physically ship completed sales orders.
  • Create, maintain, and organize all shipping documentation, including quality control forms, bills of lading (BOL), commercial invoices (CI), NAFTA or similar trade documents, and any other required records.
  • Coordinate carrier pickups to ensure customer delivery requirements and schedules are met.
  • Issue required materials and accurately perform related transactions in the inventory or ERP system.
  • Support purchasing by arranging and processing the return of defective materials to suppliers.
  • Apply best practices in packaging, handling, and documentation to ensure products are delivered in pristine condition.
  • Receive daily inbound shipments and verify quantities and documentation.
  • Receive and process RMA materials, ensuring proper identification and routing.
  • Perform additional shipping, receiving, or inventory-related duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and production needs.
  • Issue materials to production jobs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Put away received materials into appropriate storage locations and update inventory records.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Use material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, to load, unload, move, and stage materials safely.
  • Perform kitting, picking, packing, and order picking activities to support production and customer orders.
  • Use RF scanners or similar tools to track inventory movements and maintain accurate data entry.
  • Assist with inventory control and inventory management tasks to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively to support continuous workflow in the warehouse and production areas.
  • Work beyond 8 hours per day when needed to meet operational and customer demands.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in kitting, picking, and packing.
  • Hands-on experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, and general warehouse labor.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes and documentation.
  • Experience with inventory, inventory control, and inventory management activities.
  • Ability to use pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment safely.
  • Basic computer and internet skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to use RF scanners or similar devices for inventory tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to handle multiple priorities accurately.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation for deliveries and pickups as needed.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Comfortable navigating stairs and standing or working on feet for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability and willingness to work past 8 hours per day when required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • ERP system knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Experience using data entry tools and systems to maintain accurate records.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain product quality and follow best practices for packaging and handling.
  • Comfort working in a small production and office setting.

Work Environment

The role is based in a small office and production area located inside a shopping mall environment. The company has approximately 15 employees in production and around 80 employees overall, creating a tight-knit and collaborative atmosphere. Standard hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break, with occasional work beyond 8 hours per day as needed to meet operational demands. The work involves regular standing, walking, navigating stairs, and performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting and moving materials. You will work in a warehouse and production setting that uses pallet jacks, RF scanners, and basic computer systems, and you will handle packaging, shipping, receiving, and inventory control tasks on a daily basis. Attire should be appropriate for a warehouse and production environment, allowing for safe and comfortable movement while performing physical tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
