MyHope for Tomorrowis looking for a hardworking and dedicated Cook that is passionate about delivering the best possible dining experience for our guests and associates.
The Cook prepares delicious meals according to the menu. They follow instructionsincooking and delivering well-prepared meals in an efficient andtimelymanner to ensure an excellent guest experience. They are knowledgeable in various ingredients and cooking techniques and are kept up to date on industry trends.
Responsibilities:
Consistentlymonitorsthe temperatures of hot and cold foods according to food safety standards and documents results.
Completesappropriate formssuch as food temperature logs, sanitizer concentrationlogsand food waste logs.
Preparesbreakfast,lunch,and dinner dailyin accordance withmenu, recipes,allergiesand dietary restrictions of individuals.
Cleans storage, foodpreparationand serving areas tomaintainsanitary conditions.
Wash and dry dishes, take outtrashesand broken-down boxes, clean diningareaand stock items in serving areas as needed.
Performs routine deepcleanof kitchen area including sweeping/mopping kitchen floor, cleaning inside and out of reach-ins, cleaning steam table, fryolator, etc.
Assistsin guaranteeinga high levelof health and safety, cleanliness and food preparation that ensures safe working practices are followed.
Maintains professional boundaries with clients and interacts with them inan appropriate manner.
Any other related tasks that are assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior kitchen/restaurant experience preferred.
ServSafecertifieda plus.
Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
