Job Title: Mailroom/Shipping Specialist

Location: Brackenridge, PA

Job Type: Hourly Consultant

Hours: 8 am to 5 pm, M-F

Pay: $21/hr

There is driving with this role, using a company vehicle. Must have a valid Driver's license and no more than one moving violation in the past three years.

Essential Functions:

• Process incoming/outgoing mail, packages, shipments, and deliveries.

• Prepare, package, label, ship, receive, sort, and track materials.

• Operate high-volume mail equipment including inserters, sorters, finishing, barcode, and scanning equipment.

• Perform shipping/receiving, postage, courier, and charge-back activities.

• Maintain mailing addresses, tracking systems, logs, and shipping records.

• Deliver and pick up mail on scheduled runs; handle accountable mail.

• Perform quality checks, address validation, barcode lookup, and mail problem resolution.

• Monitor and replenish supplies and maintain mail/shipping equipment.

• Coordinate USPS, express, local courier, and alternative shipping services.

• Recommend workflow improvements and cost-saving opportunities.

• Work on your feet approximately 80% of the time; lifting and bending required.

Skills:

• Proficient computer skills and tracking software.

• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.

• Ability to operate automated mail and shipping systems.

• Ability to efficiently perform computer lookups and data entry.

Experience:

• Previous mailroom, dock, shipping, and receiving experience required.

• Experience with high-volume mail operations preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
