Business Office Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Office Manager to organize and perform business office functions, including accounting, payroll, personnel, bookkeeping, secretarial, and medical records. The ideal candidate will maintain Rights of Residents as set forth by the Texas Department of Health Laws and Regulations. This is a FULL_TIME position with a competitive compensation package and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain accurate and timely financial records, including accounts payable, payroll, and personnel documents
Prepare and submit reports and correspondence, ensuring smooth communication with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain an organized filing system for various office records and reports, ensuring efficient retrieval and accessibility
Provide exceptional customer service, answering incoming phone calls and greeting the public in the front office
Manage office supplies and budget, ensuring adequate inventory levels and cost-effectiveness
Perform resident admissions tasks, including telephone or personal inquiries, tours, and billing
Review resident billings monthly, performing follow-up for second notices
Maintain a facility petty cash box and perform functions associated with a resident spending account
Serve as the Mentor Coordinator, performing all Mentor Program functions for the facility
Fill out deposit reports and deliver deposits to the bank in the Administrator's absence
Update resident, responsible party, and employee addresses and telephone lists
Perform other business office duties as directed by the Administrator
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous office experience preferred
Previous nursing home experience preferred
Experience with insurance billing required
Physical and cognitive requirements include: ability to move intermittently, remain calm under stress, and demonstrate patience, tact, courtesy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
Ability to read and write in English and lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds
