The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC machines including lathes, grinding, and milling machines. This role involves working with pre-set programs as well as participating in machine setup and operation monitoring to ensure precision and quality. Operators may work flexible hours across day and night shifts, with opportunities for advancement and cross-training within machining.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC lathes, grinding, and milling machines for production runs
- Monitor machine operation to ensure efficient performance
- Inspect product quality to meet specifications
- Perform tool changes as needed to maintain workflow
- Handle materials and ensure proper loading and unloading
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in CNC machining
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of CNC programming and setup
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Skill in precision measurement techniques
- Experience with machine maintenance
- Understanding of safety procedures in machining environments
