What you’ll do
- Model and reinforce ATS’s safety-first culture while ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and ATS standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to design engineered solutions that boost reliability and throughput.
- Spot opportunities for equipment replacement or upgrades and build compelling ROI cases for CapEx requests.
- Champion precision maintenance principles, critical elements, and operating systems to advance a world-class reliability culture.
- Apply precision tools and techniques effectively in day-to-day diagnostics and improvements.
- Own reliability-centered maintenance deliverables, including creation and optimization of ESMPs.
- Partner with maintenance teams to leverage predictive, preventive, and precision maintenance technologies so risks are managed before failure.
- Conduct and guide Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) to inform strategy and task plans.
- Use advanced Work Execution Management (WEM) practices; mentor others to close gaps discovered in reliability strategy sessions.
- Lead, train, and coach Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Bad Actor elimination, and Fault Tree Analysis using ATS methodologies.
- Align reliability initiatives to ATS/customer KPIs and report measurable outcomes.
Essential qualifications
- BS in Engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent experience in heavy industrial maintenance, reliability, or operations.
- 5+ years in a reliability-focused role.
- Hands-on mastery with core reliability toolsets and the performance of RCA, RCM, and FMEA.
- Expert-level capability in predictive technologies.
- Certifications: Vibration I and Infrared I.
- Strong proficiency in machine health monitoring.
- Demonstrated coaching ability in Work Execution Management (WEM).
- Deep technical knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical components, tooling, and design.
- Comfortable executing FMEA, fishbone/cause-and-effect diagrams, root cause failure analysis, life-cycle costing, and risk analyses.
- Adept at researching and adopting emerging equipment technologies and industry trends.
- Robust problem-solving, math, analytical, and decision-making strengths.
- Fluent with CMMS/maintenance applications and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal communication, facilitation, presentation, and technical writing.
- Proven ability to build productive, professional relationships and to lead cross-functional teams.
Preferred background
- Ambition to grow into leadership.
- Experience with data trending, vibration and motor current analysis, oil analysis, lubrication and hydraulic testing, laser alignment, NDT, infrared thermography, ultrasound, acoustic reliability, Weibull analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma.
- Working knowledge of cGMP, NETA, EPA, and OSHA.
- Ultrasound I; Maintenance Lubrication Analyst I.
- CMRP, ARP, CRP, or CRL certification.
- Green Belt; STS certification.

Physical demands and work environment
This role frequently involves standing and walking, using hands to handle or feel, reaching, climbing or balancing, and regular stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, along with clear verbal communication and active listening. Sitting occurs on occasion. You may at times lift or move items over 50 pounds. Close and color vision are used regularly. Occasional exposure includes outdoor weather and potential electrical shock. Work is typically performed within a factory setting that is very loud; hazardous materials and greasy or slippery floors may be present.
