Job Title:Machine Operator

Location:On-site – St. Petersburg, FL 33716

Work Schedule:7:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST, 2-2-3 rotating shift. Must be able to work any day of the week.

Contract:1–3 months with possibility of extension

Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Previous manufacturing experience and work in a GMP-regulated industry preferred
• Basic computer skills, including Windows navigation and data entry
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to read, interpret, and execute written instructions
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including fractions and decimals
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure
• Ability to consistently lift up to 30 pounds; no lifting greater than 44.09 pounds without assistance
• Ability to push and/or pull an average of 144 kg (approximately 460 pounds)
• Ability to differentiate color and obtain 20/30 vision in both far and near vision, with or without corrective lenses
• Ability to access the manufacturing floor and operate industrial machinery

Responsibilities:
• Perform quality inspections to identify and remove sub-standard quality softgels and foreign materials from product lots according to SOPs and cGMP
• Accurately complete documentation related to the Finishing process
• Inspect softgels to approve or reject for quality and perform re-inspections when necessary
• Handle and stage tray stacks for inspection or packaging
• Inspect and clean empty trays for use in the production cycle
• Program and operate softgel washers, counting line machines, and scales; may also operate softgel printing machines
• Perform line clearances between product lots
• Package softgels in bulk and properly identify cartons with product labels
• Transfer sealed cartons of softgels to the box room or warehouse when necessary
• Handle non-hazardous, hazardous, and DEA waste
• Maintain a clean work area and perform work according to safety policies and practices
• Immediately notify Supervision of potential quality issues that may require QA notification
• Cross-train to perform tasks, operate equipment, and maintain documentation in other production departments as required
• Perform tasks in areas different from the primary position/business unit based on staffing levels and workload
• Update SOPs for the assigned department as needed
