Aegis is partnered with a rapidly growing industrial manufacturer that designs and builds custom machinery, equipment, and data center solutions. The company has been in business for over 100 years and is experiencing significant growth across multiple areas of its operation. They are looking to add a Material Handler to their team in Itasca.
This role goes beyond simply moving materials and will be responsible for helping coordinate, track, and maintain inventory throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, issue, and move raw materials, components, and finished goods
- Accurately enter and track material movement within an ERP system
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages
- Perform cycle counts and inventory audits
- Maintain accurate records for material traceability
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and Logistics on material needs
- Help improve overall material flow and inventory processes
Requirements:
- 1–3+ years of material handling, inventory, or warehouse experience within manufacturing
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Basic Excel and data-entry skills
- Inventory management or cycle counting experience preferred
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Comfortable working overtime and occasional weekends
This is a first-shift, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, contract-to-hire opportunity with a rapidly growing manufacturer and plenty of overtime available.
