Store Cashier

We are opening soon in Mannington, West Virginia, and we’re building our opening team.

We’re looking for dependable, friendly, and responsible Retail Cashiers / Sales Associates who take pride in providing great customer service and keeping a store clean, organized, and well-stocked.

This is more than simply running a cash register. Our team members will help customers find products, stock and organize merchandise, maintain the sales floor, receive deliveries, and help keep the store operating smoothly throughout the day.

$14 - $17 hour

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service

• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately handle cash and card transactions

• Verify customer identification and follow all alcohol-sale requirements

• Assist customers in locating products and making selections

• Stock liquor, wine, beer, and other merchandise

• Keep shelves faced, organized, and properly stocked

• Maintain a clean sales floor, checkout area, coolers, and back-stock areas

• Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries

• Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items

• Follow opening, closing, cash-handling, and store-security procedures

• Work independently when scheduled while also contributing to the overall team

• Basic computer skills or experience using a POS system and cash register skills are desired
• Fundamental math skills are necessary to successfully take payments and return proper change to customers
• Customer service skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with customers and colleagues alike is needed
• Prefer some previous experience working as cashier

• We’re looking for someone who is reliable above everything else. Retail experience is helpful, but we’re willing to train the right person.

• The ideal candidate is friendly with customers, comfortable handling money, able to stay productive without constant supervision, and willing to help wherever needed.

• Applicants must be able to stand for extended periods and regularly lift and move cases of merchandise.

We are a new, locally operated liquor store opening in Mannington. This is an opportunity to join the store from the beginning and become part of the team as we establish and grow the business.
