Two ways in. If you hold an IICRC WRT and have run water losses, we'll pay you $24–$30/hour and you'll run them here. If you've worked construction, demo, carpet cleaning, plumbing, or property maintenance and want a trade with a certification behind it, we'll start you at $20–$23/hour, pay for your WRT course and exam, and have you certified inside 90 days.
ICD Construction is a licensed general contractor in Riverside (CSLB #1063371). We handle water damage mitigation, mold remediation, and the full rebuild so the loss you dry is the job you can grow into.
What you'll do
- Respond to water losses in homes and light commercial buildings: extract, remove wet materials, apply antimicrobials, set containment
- Set and monitor drying equipment air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers with moisture meters and daily readings until the structure is dry
- Document every day: readings, equipment, labeled photos, and a short daily report on your phone. We treat the log as the job, not paperwork.
- Treat customers well on a bad day; leave every site clean and safe
- Keep the truck stocked and the equipment tracked
- Cross-train into rebuild if you want to (drywall, baseboard, carpentry)
What you bring
- Certified track: IICRC WRT and 2+ years hands-on water mitigation; ASD a plus
- Trainee track: 1+ year in construction, trades, carpet cleaning, or property maintenance; mechanical aptitude; willing to learn fast
- Valid California driver's license and insurable driving record this role drives company vehicles with equipment to job sites
- Available for a weekly on-call rotation (some nights, weekends, holidays) with a stipend and paid call-outs
- Able to lift 50 lbs regularly, work in attics and crawlspaces, and wear a respirator when required, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Comfortable documenting on a phone in English; Spanish is a plus
Pay & benefits
- $24–$30/hour certified; $20–$23/hour trainee; Lead Technician track to $34/hour
- Overtime per California law; on-call stipend; paid call-outs (2-hour minimum)
- IICRC courses and exams paid; tools, PPE, and uniforms provided
